About Atira
The woman behind the sanctuary

Atira came to this work the ordinary way — through her own exhaustion. Years of caring capably for other people, and a slow realization that she had never once been on her own list.
What began as small private rituals became a practice, and the practice became a philosophy: that a Black woman's well-being is not a reward for productivity, and that tending to herself is not a departure from her responsibilities but the ground beneath them.
Intentional Living with Atira gathers those rituals — for the body, the mind, the spirit, and the becoming — in one private place, written for women across every life stage: the young woman finding her footing, the mother stretched thin, the professional holding visibility and pressure, the woman moving through menopause, the elder tending her legacy.
